On February 11, 2026, at the headquarters of Électricité du Laos, a meeting was held to report and summarize the implementation of personnel development work for 2025 and to establish the strategic plan for 2026 under the collaboration project between Chiang Mai University (CMU)and EDL–Generation Public Company (EDL-Gen).
The meeting was honored by the attendance of the Associate Professor . Dr. Winita PUNYODOM, Vice President of Chiang Mai University; Mr. Tulachai Phanthavong, Deputy Director General of the Department of Organization, Ministry of Industry and Commerce; and Ms. Phokhine Apphay, Deputy Managing Director, CAO of EDL-Gen, along with the management team and representatives from relevant departments such as the Department of Enterprise Management , the Department of Energy, the Department of Policy, Planning and Evaluation, and Électricité du Laos.
During the meeting agenda, participants watched a video about the history, vision, and key achievements of both organizations to demonstrate their potential in joint personnel development.
Mrs. Phokin gave the honor of officially opening the meeting, followed by remarks from Associate Professor . Dr. Winita Punyodom.
In addition, Mr. Thavisith Chanthery, Director of Human Resources Department, EDL-Gen, reported a summary of operations in 2025 and presented the plan for 2026. On this occasion, Associate Professor. Dr. Thongchai Fongsamootrg, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, also provided comments on the implementation under the collaboration project.
The highlight of the event was the signing ceremony of the 2026 Personnel Development Work Implementation Plan between Chiang Mai University and EDL-Gen to serve as a foundation for future cooperation.
The meeting concluded with great success, including a group photo session and lunch to foster unity between the two organizations.
