On July 31, 2025, at the 7th floor headquarters of Électricité du Laos (EDL), representatives from EDL- Generation Public Company (EDL-Gen) welcomed a delegation of participants from the Leadership Programme for Young and Future Leaders of Timor-Leste for ASEAN, along with a leading delegation from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

After conducting a study visit and exchanging lessons learned with EDL-Gen, the delegation traveled to visit the Nam Ngum-1 Hydropower Plan in Thoulakhom district, Vientiane province on the same day.
