Vientiane, May 22, 2025 – EDL-Generation Public (EDL-Gen) officially launched a specialized training program on “Water Management and Reservoir Operation for Hydropower Production in Laos,” in collaboration with Chiang Mai University (CMU) from Thailand.

The opening ceremony, which marked the first day of the two-day training (May 22-23, 2025), took place at the Electricité du Laos Training Center in Vientiane Capital.

The event was graced by several distinguished guests, including:

* Mr. Souksavath Sosouphan, CEO of EDL-Gen, who presided over the opening ceremony.

* Assistant Professor Dr. Anucha Promwungkwa, Lecturer from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Chiang Mai University, who served as the lead instructor for the training.

* Dr. Kanchit Ngamsanroaj, a water management expert, who co-instructed the program.

In addition, the event was attended by advisors from the EDL-Gen and CMU cooperation project, faculty members, representatives from EDL-Gen, and directors from various hydropower dams managed by EDL-Gen.
