EDL-Gen supports fund to upgrade road

Not only, generating electricity, EDL-Generation public company (EDL-Gen), also supports the construction of infrastructures in the community near it’s projects.

The help is aimed to improve the quality of live of people near EDL-Gen project areas EDL-Gen allocates it’s budget for the construction of asphalt road, starting from the office of Namkhan 3 hydropower plan (NK3 HPP) to port near Namkhan 3 powerhouse.

Not only benefit to staffs of Namkhan 3 HPP, the upgraded road helps to facilitate the travel of local people, particularly villagers of Samakhisay who live in resettlement village of Namkhan 3 HPP

The construction of the road began in December 2022 and completed at the end of March 2023, according to the plan. The road is packed with double asphalt (wide 6 m and long 5,45 km)

On 21 April 2023 the senior officials of EDL-Gen as well as involved sector inspected the completion of the road

Namkhan 3 HPP is located between Donmo and Samakhisay villages, Xieng Ngern district of Luang Prabang province.

The project was far away from south east of Luang Prabang town about 24 km
