EDL-Gen and EDL jointly hosts ceremony of fish released to mark Wildlife and Aquatic Animal Conservation Day

On 13 July 2021, EDL-Generation Public Company (EDL-Gen) and Électricité du Laos (EDL) jointly organized a ceremony to release fingerlings to mark Wildlife and Aquatic Animal Conservation Day and to celebrate the 113th anniversary of the birth of President Souphanouvong (July 13, 1909 – July 13, 2022) at Nam Ngum -1 HPP in Keo Oudom district Vientiane province.

Participating the event were Mr Chanthaboun Soukaloun, Director General of EDL Mr Sisavath Sengphachan, Chief District of Keo Oudom, Mr Vanhseng Vannavong Acting Director General of EDL-Gen and invited guests

In this activity, EDL-Gen and EDL jointly release About 15,100 fish, which consisted of Pa-Beuk, Pa-Tong, Pa-Nuanchan and Pa-Nai, were release to the reservoir of the project’s dam (conservative area) of Nam Ngum-1 Hydropower Plant

Along with electrical generation, EDL-Gen also pay attention to preserve environment in the areas its projects
