On 27 January 2021 at Savannakhet provincial office, Mr Thongphet Duang Ngun, Deputy Managing Director of EDL-Gen and Mr Robert Allent, General Manager of THPC, represented their companies to hand over the rice seed to Mr Viengthavisone Thepphachan, Deputy Governor of Savannakhet province.

The 14.5 tons of rice seeds, cost about 94 millions kip, were allocated to divisions of Agriculture and Forestry as well as Labour and Social Welfare of Savannakhet province. The gifts will be later delivered to farmers, who were affected by flooding disaster recently.

On the same day, the representatives of two companies also handed over 14.5 tons of rice seeds to Mr Phouhong Khammanivong, Deputy Governor of Saravan province. The rice will be also allocated to people who were affected by flooding in Saravan province.
