Notice: To: whom it may concern, we would like to inform about the closure of the Spillway gates of Nam Ngum-1 HPP.

EDL-Generation Public Company (“EDL-Gen”) would like to inform you after the opening of the Spillway gates due to the overflowing since 12^th August 2018, currently Nam-Ngum-1 HPP has closed the spillway gates from 30 cm to 0 cm the outflow has decreased from 124.5 m3/s to 0 m3/s. The closure has started from 12:00 pm of the 6^th October 2018 onwards to manage the water to maximize its effectiveness for the dry season.

After the closure, the water level at the reservoir is at 212.32 m.als in the afternoon of the same day which is the level that the dam has been designed.
