Handover ceremony a frame weaving of Lao Sinh at NamNgum-1 Hydropower plant

On 25 December 2017, The President of the Education for Development Foundation (EDF) in Laos, Mr. Terumasa Akio meets the Director of the NamNgum-1 Hydropower plant, Mr. Buavanh Chansavath for the purpose of handover a frame weaving of Lao Sinh which belong to Mr. Sumio Ichikawa, a Japanese Engineer who worked for the Nihon Koei Company. This handicraft item was presented by Lao government to Mr. Sumio Ichikawa when Nam Ngum Dam was completed in 1971 for his souvenir of completion his mission in Laos. Recently, Mr. Sumio passed away and his wife Ms. Hisako Ichikawa decided to return this significant souvenir back to Nam Ngum-1 Dam as a historic artifact to showcase for the next generation to learn on this partnership.
