The Winners Study Tour to Nam Ngum -1 and Nammang 3 HPPs

EDL-Generation Public Company or EDL-Gen hosted an activity to accompany 14 lucky people visiting Nam Ngum -1 Hydropower Plant (HPP) in Keo Oudom district and Nammang 3 HPP in Thoulakhom district, Vientiane province on 27 August 2017.
The Winners are those who won the lucky draw prize from EDL-Gen in the Investment Gateway 2017 with the theme of “ Sustainable Business Creates Solid Investment ” which was held from 22-23 July 2017, at Lao-ITECC Convention Center in Vientiane Capital.
The purpose of the study visit was to open up and increase the knowledge on hydropower generation in Lao PDR, therefore the guests had chance to learn on the background and business operations of the projects through the presentation of HPP’s director as well as the opportunity to visit inside powerhouse such as control room and the turbine area as well as the dam site. Moreover, visitors had great opportunity to get on boat and sailing around Nam Ngum reservoir in order to observe the environmental and its natural scenario which is the most beautiful and attractive area of Vientiane Province.
