Management Team of EDL-GEN SOLAR POWER Welcome the Delegates to visit Solar Plants

The representatives of EDL-Generation Public Company’s EDL-GEN SOLAR POWER Co., LTD welcome all delegates from World Bank, other banks and together with the journalists, to visit EDL-GEN SOLAR POWER project, which is located at Chengsavang village, Naxaithong district, Vientiane capital on January 25, 2017.

In order to ensure the stability of the electric supply chain within the society, according to the researches and preparation for quite a while, EDL-Gen Public Company has funding some amount for constructing of EDL-Gen Solar Power project (3 MW), which is one of the expansion strategy plan of solar power generation, thus, EDL-Gen Solar Power aim to achieve 100 MW in the future. The project cost in total is about U$3.5 million.

The implementation and operation of EDL-Gen Solar Power Co., LTD will contribute in reducing the expense of the electricity imported from other countries. It will also reduce the power loss in transmission line in middle and low voltage. Additionally, it will also support the conservation of the water level in the HPP’s reservoir which used to generate electricity especially in dry season to benefit the water management efficiently. Furthermore, this project will increase more income to the nation as well as the Lao people.
